My husband Ramon and I have been married for 32 years. The most memorable Valentine present I received was a handmade bouquet of roses that he made with flowers from my own garden. The fourth Valentine Day we celebrate as a married couple our budget was extremely tight because of a very difficult financial situation.
I was working in an office with maybe ten other females. We decided to invite our husbands and boyfriends to have lunch with us at the office. The beautiful rose’s arrangement started to arrive early that morning; I was one of the few ladies that did not received roses that day. When my husband came for lunch he saw all the roses at my coworkers’ desk and he apologized for not having money to send me roses.
I got home before my husband and to my surprise I found the most beautiful little bouquet of roses with a little paper that said “this is just like the whopper from BK, made just for you”. Through out the years I have received many floral arrangements from floral shops, I know they were beautiful but I can honestly say I don’t remember how they look. But I have never forgotten that little rose bouquet made especially for me with flowers from my garden. I can even smell the fragrance 28 years latter.

For the first time in a while I'm single and I was wondering what my plans for valentines day were this year. I think that's a great idea to throw a party for all my single friends! Thanks for the tip.
