The poet William Wordsworth said,
Look for the stars, you’ll say that there are none;
Look up a second time, and, one by one,
You mark them twinkling out with silvery light,
And wonder how they could elude the sight!
Today’s bride spotlight is all about finding true love the second time around. I adore repeat business, especially when it’s a combination of a mother and bride you’ve fallen in love with. So, it was with great surprise that I received a call from Jessica and her mom Tamara about doing a second wedding for Jessica.
Jessica and her dream man
Jessica and Tamara have such impeccable taste, and for this second wedding it was like playing out the great American love story. Jessica found her dream man, and it ended up being a happily emotional day. (She looked amazing, by the way).
Some people may feel superstitious about using the same vendors twice, but I was thrilled at the chance to work with this bride and mom all over again. And, I have to say, while the first wedding was fun, the second one was an ultimate blast to work on.
I always think that second weddings should be even more fabulous than the first. What do you think?

George Bernard Shaw once said: “You see things and say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were and say, ‘Why not?’” That quote embodies how Preston Bailey approaches every event.

I love the fact that you took the time to make #2 better than #1. Having not experience the #2 part of my life since I am still married to #1, I however love the fact that she trusted you to do what you do. Simply amazing in the floral part as well as The design and color. Absolutely making her a princess/ queen for the day and allowing her to be beautiful in her own way. Amazing work Preston and I am so glad I can look to you for inspiration. I run a decor / planning business in Northern Michigan and cannot wait til I can have an unlimited budget to make a plain room a dream room. Thank you again

YES, I COULD BE MORE THAN THE SECOND TIME…
LIFE BRINGS YOU WHAT IS DOES SO WHY NOT CELEBRATE MORE THAN ONE TIME…
IT’S STRANGE HOW WE THINK THAT IT WILL LAST FOREVER AND WHEN IT DOES NOT WE FEEL LIKE WE HAVE TO BE LESS EXCITED WHEN WE FIND A PARTNER AGAIN… I SAY LET THE REVOLUTION BEGIN!!!!

Couldn’t agree more! Especially if your first wedding was a total disaster (whistling innocently). After all, your love has only grown, so the celebration should be even greater.

Oh so pretty! I don’t know anything about getting married a second time since we plan on our 1st marriage being our one and only [everyone is invited to our 50th anniversary in 2049!] ;-D but I will say that this makes me think of vow renewals. Do you do much of those, Preston? Just wondering what ideas/tips you might have for planning a celebration like that?
