Is It Better To Go Naked Or Covered?

I’m talking about chair covers and table cloths, of course. What were you thinking? Here are some images that may help you make a decision…

Tomorrow, we’ll discuss the pros and cons of going naked or being covered. But first, I have a question for you: What color do you prefer seeing on your tablecloths? Why?

Please tell me why anyone needs to waste their hard earned money on this excess? Ribbon crap on some chairs that’s just gonna get thrown away after one night? Seems like a stupid idea to me.

I have two favorite color choices.
I’m torn between PINK and TEAL, especially teal in shimmer crush… looks like peacock color ~ very gorgeous!!! Would love to do a peacock wedding with mega huge peacocks as centerpieces.
My second favorite is black and white damask with bright yellow accents. Can be both very formal and relaxed.

    Dear LYN,
To answer your question: It’s part of a well-rounded healthy lifestyle to pamper and be pampered. Most times the person that “waste their hard earned money on this excess” feels great to host these events. And they’ve earned the right to do so.

I MUST ADMIT, I AM A SUCKER FOR ANYTHING WITHIN THE PURPLE FAMILY!!! I AM DRAWN TO PURPLE BECAUSE IM MY CULTURE PURPLE IS ALWAYS SYMBOLIC OF ROYALTY. IN MY OPINION VARIOUS SHADES OR PURPLE ALWAYS INFUSES WELL WITH OTHER COLORS……WHICH WHENEVER BLENDED TOGETHER, CAN CREATE OTHER BEAUTIFUL COLORS LIKE FUCHIA, OR ROYAL BLUE. OHHHH I HAVE SUCH A LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE PURPLE FAMILY……LOL……ITS ALMOST ORGASMIC!!

Hi Mr. Preston, I pretty much LOVE everything you do. I have all of your books BUT… I must say that i don’t like the honey comb look. it gives me hives…lol… I love the colors and the creativity of the other chair covers. I especially like the Bride and Groom table and chair ensamble. I am a big fan of earthtone colors. I like the china as well.

I guess it depends on the architecture and decor of the room, the other decor for the event, the bride’s vision, and of course, what the chairs look like unadorned. I agree that the chairs at most venues are pretty utilitarian and just don’t go with the color scheme or concept. Thank goodness for the options we have from our rental companies.

I usually have a complete pet peeve against chair covers. Sometimes it looks gaudy or overdone. These are such a great idea. It adds a stylish twist instead of just more fabric. I love small details where you can add texture and style instead of just adding fabric. I LOVE IT!!!

I usually first figure out what my tablecloth is going to be (if there is to be one). It’s like a canvass and you paint on contrasting colors i.e. china, accessories, objet d’art, etc, etc. A carefully chosen tablecloth acts as a beautiful back drop for the theme you’ve chosen. I have found that gray tablecloths are a perfect back drop for collored accessories to pop! Come to think of it, gray tablecloth with a white theme -say, white porcelain plates and white candles ofcourse, etc. A duel-colored theme, simple yet elegant could be a nice christmas table. I could ramble on but think I’ll stop it there.
    Happy Holidays!!

I think it depends on the client’s budget, however I believe with a cover you can make almost any chair or table absolutely lovely.
