A Little Note About Today

May 3rd last year I turned 60 and threw a big blow out party with all my friends and family. Today, however, I need to spend the day in quiet fasting and meditation, reflecting on all the many gifts and blessings I have received in my 61 years of living.

I love getting older. I also love the mystery that lies ahead. For me, aging is about discovery and challenging myself to bring all my darkness into light and at the same time learn how to love better. Of course, I shall be celebrating the rest of the month with all my friends and family.

I’d love to know: Do you have any birthday traditions? What do you like to do to celebrate your birthday?

Hmmm, I’ve never had an actual birthday party. Just cake and ice cream with family at dinner. I always wanted one but it hasn’t happened yet. Maybe for my 50th. Perhaps this year, I’ll start a tradition.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Wishing you all the best there is! The soul’s discoveries are infinite and fascinating – enjoy the journey. Knowing the darkness is crucial in order to appreciate the Light. The Light you bring into this world is shining brightly, and thank you for sharing your vision and wisdom with us!

My birthday is next week and now I am inspired to celebrate in style ;)

Happy Birthday Preston! You are 61 years young!

Since my husband and I are have our birthdays 3 days apart, I always try to do something special, from throwing a big party to booking a weekend at a nice hotel. The important thing is to be surrounded by the ones you love. I think that no matter how old or young you are, celebrating a birthday is always a blessing.

Preston, you and are share Birthdays and we are the same age, pretty cool. Last year I did all the flowers for my daughters May 2nd wedding. Today I’m off to a beach side cafe for a Martini and Cheeseburger. Hope you have a wonderful quiet Birthday also. Aren’t we blessed to love our work, family and friends.

Happy Birthday Preston! Goodness you absolutely do not look 61 at all… but in a way, every day is a Birthday if you allow it to be – because we should be celebrating life every day and all the beauty it has to offer…

I love my birthday, and for me, this is the most important day of the year. I celebrate it every time , no metter what, even if there was days, when I don’t have too much enthusiasm it always happends great party. And the last couple of years I make themed partys, and every time is different and my guests are always surprised!

Happy Birthday Preston! I love getting older, because I feel life gets better and better. I’m learning who I really am and I am grateful for the many blessings. Every year my sister and I do something special for our birthdays. We pick a place we would love to visit and we spend time together sharing new experiences and celebrating. Last December was one of my best birthdays. We came to New York and shopped, had outstanding meals; but by far one of the most exciting things was coming to your book signing and meeting you! I wish you many, many more special birthdays.

Happy Belated Birthday Preston! I can’t believe that your 61….you look amazing. One of my birthday traditions is reflecting on the past year and journaling my accomplishments and things that I’m grateful for. I also try to create new goals (both personal and professional) which are based on the previous year’s accomplishments. If I made more professional accomplishments than personal, I try to create more personal goals for the next year to balance everything out. Happy reflecting and thanks for the many inspirations you’ve provided me!

Happy Birthday and best wishes Mr. Bailey! May you continue inspire us with your creations. My tradition for my birthday is very simple and but important for me. As long as I go to church, I have a cake to make a wish and spend quality with my family, I’m ok and ready to continue in life.

No wonder I think you’re great, you and my dad were born exactly one year apart to the day. Hope you had a great birthday and many many more to come… Also, thanks for all the great information!

Since our birthdays are one day apart (I am 5/4)…my birthday tradition..is celebrating ALL Month Long..starting May 1 – going to May 31. In fact, today, May 9th I have had 4 celebrations..LOL and I am still accepting dinners/lunches. Last year for my 25th birthday I had 5 themed days followed by impromptu celebrations. Moral of the story is I love celebrating my birthday and I do it for the entire month of May and I have been doing that since age 4 :)
Happy Birthday Preston…hope in true May Baby style you are still celebrating!
