I had a chance to look at the websites of the folks you nominated and there is a lot of amazing talent out there. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’ll keep this list in the event I am working close to your area.
Because I work all over the world, this week’s request is just as important. I want to know: who is the best PLANNER you have ever worked with or know in your area? And again, please do not hesitate to nominate yourself if you are the best. Having an association with a great planner anywhere in the world makes my job much easier, so I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.

I am nominating Claudia Lutman (DC area) as the best wedding planner ever.
1) Claudia is incredibly organized: she took care of all the planning while I was traveling in Africa and had everything run incredibly smoothly. Our wedding occured during one of the biggest snowstorms we’ve had this year and I did not even know that our MC had cancelled a couple of hours before the wedding because Claudia already had a replacement lined up. While I was freaking out because of the storm she handled everything with calm and good nature.
2) She is very creative and has great taste: our wedding was GEORGEOUS. To this day (4 months later), our guests still go on and on about how classy and beautiful and amazing it was.
3) She goes beyond expectations to help with anything a bride might need, i.e. picking up and sending my keys to me while I was on my honeymoon after I forgot them in my hotel room or offering to find a nanny for a friend who could not make it to the wedding because her nanny had cancelled on her. Months after the wedding, she is always available to answer questions I might have.
Claudia is just wonderful and I would recommend her to any bride-to-be.

Last weekend my daughter got married and not only was it everything we could ever imagine but the most incredible thing happened!! My husband and I always knew that the bride and groom would have a great time but we never expected to feel relaxed and have an awsome time ourselves. We owe this to the best wedding planner ever! Also, if you can’t afford to hire a wedding planner, there are some great wedding planner books and guides out there that could save you a lot of money. I’m absolutely in awe of two wedding planners from Charleston, South Carolina–Calder Clark of Blue Moon Events, and Tara Guerard of Soiree. In April, I attended a wedding that Calder planned, and every last detail was spirited, memorable, and unique. Two favorites–the bride’s 14-year-old brother brought the house down with a performance of Kanye West’s “Jesus Walks” with the band; and at the end of the night, we received small bags of Anson Mills “Grits to Go” with a recipe for shrimp and grits printed on the back, courtesy of the bride’s brother-in-law, a chef at a top restaurant in Atlanta. And Tara’s events (and her books) are simply remarkable.

Eighteenth Avenue Events and Ashley Ramirez was the wedding planner for both of my daughter’s wedding and they are THE BEST!!!! One wedding in San Diego at a resort and the other at the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
She is the best and NO DETAILS LEFT UNTURNED!!!! Fantastic Planner and a GREAT VALUE for the money!!!!

Eighteenth Avenue Events, and Ashley Ramirez is my vote for Northern California and beyond. She takes on the stress for the couple 100%. She is able to remain and act in control at all times, thinks quickly and can handle sticky situations. She is also a good business person, who effectively negotiates deals with florists, caterers, photographers, musicians and more. She always kept to the budget given That was an important factor.
Last, but not least, she keeps up to date on the latest wedding styles. I would say she has a sense of fashion that is a talent rather than something learned.

Eighteenth Avenue events is by far the best wedding planner in not only Texas but the Bay Area. Ashley understands and appreciates what’s important to the bride and her attention to detail is undescribable. I couldn’t have done any of this wedding without her. Her creativity is out of this world!!!
