Me at a recent event I designed. Photo by Oetomo
I, like all of you, am still in the process of learning. I am an author, a boss, and for the first time ever I’m happy to inform you that I have been given a shot at teaching. In my journey, I have designed: flowers, bedding, clothing, linen, tableware, light fixtures, events, public art Installations, interior designs, even built Pavilions… For me, any design is about freedom: you think it and you DO it.
My main goal as a teacher is to inspire you to use this simple formula to be successful. I also want to guide you in avoiding all the mistakes and pitfalls I made along my journey. I’ll be teaching an event design course online and within many accredited colleges in the USA.
This course will be covering every single aspect of the event design process with hundreds of images to back it up. My ultimate goal is to stimulate your already existing power to become a success. I have joined forces with the extraordinary and innovative folks at the Wedding Planning Institute to make this course available to all.
For more information you can visit http://www.weddingplanninginstitute.com/prestonbailey/ or take a tour through the design course by clicking here. To enroll in these courses, click here or call 1 888-221-9988 x.9000.
I am convinced that every single one of us has the ability to succeed. It’s not a secret that I was not fortunate enough to graduate from high school. If I managed to get this far, so can every single one of you. The big secret to my success is that for 30 years I have learned this simple lesson: continue to be inspired–even from my failures. This, I think, is the only key to any success.
What would you want to learn if you took my course? I’d love to get any feedback you have to possibly incorporate into my lesson plans.

George Bernard Shaw once said: “You see things and say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were and say, ‘Why not?’” That quote embodies how Preston Bailey approaches every event.

Preston, Congratulations on officially becoming a teacher – you already are in so many ways. Unfortunately, due to location and commitments, I cannot take your course otherwise I would be there in a heartbeat! Are you going to post your seminars online (ie. podcasts)? Are you going to design conferences with your students? I want to learn more about creating a niche market, marketing, how to sell/promote oneself and convince potential clients that a wedding or event coordinator is necessary, etc…

Congrats Preston! I’m sure it would be a success. Besides learning the techniques of event designing, I would also love to know how an Event Designing business works. Thanks.

Congratulations, but wait, you’ve always been a teacher to so many! I guess now we can officially call you teacher Bailey!
Btw, i love the Santorini photograph! I lived in Greece for six months in 08 and spent many evenings on that very top. I always tell folks, if you’ve never experience a Santorini sunset, then it’s time to get a move on! We would love the opportunity to photograph a wedding there. Just once!
In preparation of your new role you should watch “To Sir with Love”……then again, I don’t think it will be that challenging!
Congrats…

Dear Preston;
Congratulations on this awesome endeavor! Eight years ago, I had the opportunity to work with Lovegevity and can say that the people were wonderful to work with.
I am looking forward to taking your course as I am already a certified wedding planner who has been out of the industry for some time. I am planning on getting back in, but wanted to focus more on design so your timing is perfect!
Please continue to write what you write on your blog. For someone so creative and successful, you are truly humble.
Be blessed!

Congratulations! I believe you are a teacher already. Thank you for your insight! Personally, I’d like to gain a better understanding of the professional line between designing and planning events and also, an efficient and effective way to present proposals to clients.

To share “Your Gift” of teaching with others more than you already have; just proves once again how generous you truly are. I hope I am able to benefit from such a gift one day. Best of luck to the man behind the talent.

I am so happy for you. The ability to remain humble and be so free with your knowledge is one of the biggest reasons you are the master at what you do. I truly believe God blesses those who bless others. You have touched so many lives with your creativity. With all the ugliness in the world, I believe the ability to create beauty for the eye to behold is a gift and should be used and shared, not kept secret. Congratulations. You are living your purpose

I would want to learn:-
How to make my client’s dream become a reality?
How to estimate the cost?
What items would i need to use?
To know more about flowers!
How to keep the culture feel in a modern design?
Thank you… I may have a lot more but that might be best as of now…

Dear Preston,
I love the idea of this course but I have to admit that I am beyond disappointed by the customer service of the Wedding Planning Institute. I am in Europe, so due to time difference I want to study online and requested information online. I wrote 25 E-Mails without receiving a response. I tried every e-mail address that I could find on the website and still no reply. At this point, I decided to notify you because this has been a very frustrating experience.
Now you would say, why didn’t you call? It’s as easy as that: the course if offered online, so the institute should be able to communicate online.
This teaches me one more time how important it is for businesses to be perfectly organized when I great opportunity comes. Clearly, the Wedding Planning Institute was not ready to take on such a task. Out of respect to your great work I did not post any negative feedback online but certainly I can not recommend this course to my team and it looks like I will also not be able to take it. What a pity!
I would love to hear from you and was hoping you could tell me how to proceed at this point.
Thank you,
Christina

This on line course works best for me because I am self employed and the freedom of working online is what I need to do. I would love to take your course, actually have been researching it. But I want to know, how do I get the hands on experience?
