After going over the responses of a survey I did (almost 500 brides throughout Georgia and the Southeast) I found it was a good investment to go with chairs that look good "naked" for my inventory but still offer covers for ballroom-type chairs stocked at indoor venues in my area. I found that brides only preferred the covered look inside. For outdoor weddings, the most popular styles were chiavaris or chateaus in the nude or with a small floral accent off one side of the chair. My personal preference is naked!
