Common Mistakes: The Round Up

I realized today that I’ve been writing this blog (on and off at first, but more consistently within the past year) since 2007. Wow, that’s a long time.

In general, I’m so caught up with the day to day comments and looking forward to what I’ll be writing tomorrow or next week, that I don’t take the time to look back and review what I’ve already written.

I think there are some great Common Mistakes we’ve discussed in the past, so I thought I’d do a round up of my top 5.

I’ve learned that a boat on the dock makes you seasick ( even though u’ve never experienced it before.) so a combination of seasickness and panic attack is not good while you r setting up a wedding. There is a magic pill u should take a few hours before u get to the boat.

    Preston,
This is what makes you so well respected among your peers. You not only open your heart to people and share your talent, you actually share insights that others don’t. There is a ‘human touch’, no a ‘humble-touch’, that you share which draws brides and those of us in the industry to you.
By being open to these ‘mistakes’, you are providing insight as well as sharing with those that ‘think this is fun, pretty parties and easy’ is not like the movies. This is a hard job, a competitive business and wedding planning is not for the faint of heart. Mistakes…hmmm, I just think of it as a learning moment and chance to change and grow. Every mistake happens for just that reason…the true professional learns and shares.

I’m so proud to have known you for almost 6 years and wish you continued success.

I truly love all your posts, but this topic is certainly one that I devour every single word and gets me thinking. Also lets me know that mistakes are inevitable, it’s how you handle and learn from them that’s important. Extremely grateful of your stories as hopefully, I will be able to avoid a few of them.
