When I first started writing here on this blog I had no idea how much I would come to love it. Nor how very rewarding it would be! Of course, there are still those pesky mornings when I find myself staring at the blank page and have no clue what to write. But, fortunately, those days are few and far between. Mostly because I get so many wonderful ideas from you — my readers! You’ve helped me shape my blogger voice and topics, including my Common Mistakes’ column, which is one of my favorites, as well as my columns on “Venting,” “Reminders,” “Dear Preston,” and, my most recent favorite, “Advice.”
Your feedback and ideas are incredible. You all amaze me. I know I can count on you to give me a fresh perspective and remind me that we’re all in this together.
So, today, I’d like to once again ask your advice. This time, though, I want to know about other people’s blogs. What are your favorite wedding and event design industry blogs? What is it about these blogs that you love? And, please, don’t hesitate to nominate your own blogs, if you know that you have something unique to offer.
I can’t wait to read your suggestions! Thank you.

George Bernard Shaw once said: “You see things and say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were and say, ‘Why not?’” That quote embodies how Preston Bailey approaches every event.

I’m a lover of both reading and writing blogs — and lover of your blog, PB! I also follow The Tomkat Studio (www.thetomkatstudio.com) and Celebrations at Home (www.celebrationsathomeblog.com) for party inspirations. I follow Style Me Pretty (www.stylemepretty.com) and Ruffled (www.ruffledblog.com) for Wedding Inspiration. I’m also a foodie, so I love cake at weddings! I follow Cupcakes Take The Cake (cupcakestakethecake.blogspot.com) for the genius cupcake ideas. Last but not least, I love seeing the sweet table displays from Amy Atlas (blog.amyatlas.com).

Preston;
By far, the best wedding blog is one written by my dear friend, Janie Medley called the Bride’s Cafe. The woman you see and who writes about other vendors, weddings, etc. is genuine and passionate about weddings and floral design. She is awesome and quite humble. I hope you will get to meet each other someday if you have not already.

Hi Preston, I follow your tweets and love your blog. Here are some great ones too:
100layercake.com
Theknotybride.com
Greenweddingshoes.com (the most creative wedding set ups in my mind).
I started my own blog based in Dubai http://www.designbylouma.com which I update regularly with my personal graphic design wedding work. Have a look. Thanks!

Well, my absolute favorite blog is Preston Bailey’s! Have you ever heard of him? LOL
I follow a lot of blogs, because it is the best way to keep my finger on the pulse of what is happening in the industry. I am an avid blogger myself, http://idoweddings.wordpress.com. A website is more of a static presence for my business, while the blog is dynamic. My blog keeps my readers updated on our real weddings, and current trends. I recently did a series on wedding venues in our area that are haunted. The stories are quite fascinating.
I also like the ones mentioned in the other comments, but my top three other favorites are:
bridetide.com
karentran.com
caplinmiller.com
You really should check them out.

I am both a writer and follower of many blogs. I actually had to read down through the previous comments to make sure that I don’t repeat. There are a lot of good ones on there already! One of my favorite photography blogs is Jen McKen Photography (www.jenmckenphoto.com/blog). She is one of my closest and oldest friends and I am extremely proud of her success in building her photography business. Of course, as I mentioned, I am also a writer. In case, you want to stop by my blog it is http://www.nickiannscorner.com

Hi Preston,
I’m an avid reader of your blog, being a budding wedding planner myself your advice and insights into this industry have helped me so much.
I’m based in the UK and write my own blog, charting my journey, would love you to drop by and say hello. http://Www.pocketfulofdreams.co.uk
Two other blog I think worthy of a mention and ones I read on a daily basis:
Love My Dress ~ a UK wedding blog full of vintage-inspired glamour (you will also find me regularly guest posting my mood boards over there too)
Florence Finds ~ another UK blog, this time with a focus on women’s lifestyle issues, everything from food to fashion for the modern woman.
Enjoy. Xx

First of all, I love your blog! Your honesty and open communication is so refreshing and it is very inspirational. Thanks! I enjoy reading Jasmine Star’s blog (www.jasminestarblog.com). She has used her blog as a tool to expand her business – very social media savvy. I also like reading Sage Wedding Pros (www.sageweddingpros.com). They give great business advice to those in the wedding industry.
