Happy Friday!
As you may know, today billions of people around the world will be watching the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics in London. This ceremony always gives me goosebumps because it’s a beautiful celebration of teamwork and respectful competition on a global level. Athletes striving to be their very best, for themselves, their team and the residents of their respective countries.
In the spirit of teamwork, I would like to have one day a week where we acknowledge a peer here on the blog. As I mentioned last Friday, I would like to shine a spotlight on talented and dedicated professionals who are deserving of recognition. This week, I would like you to please share links to the website of your favorite florist in the comment section (feel free to include your own).
I would like to ask that all submissions include:

I have been working as Jim’s only employee for two years now and am always amazed at the ideas that come out of his head. I love watching an artist at work, as Jim dreams up a unique look that fits each client’s unique style. At the end of our set up day, Jim doesn’t just say “ok” and leave. He walks back through and adds small touches until everything looks the best that it could. He has the creativity along with the strong work ethic to follow through with his designs.

I would like to nominate myself. I’ve worked as a florist in a franchise for five years before becoming independent in 2010. In the fall of 2011, when I started to become serious about the new business, things exploded as I was asked to contribute regularly for WeddingObsession.com. Our designs are elegant and on-trend. I love to think outside of the box and show my clients and blog readers new ideas and show them how flowers can be used creatively and artistically – couture rather than cookie cutter. I believe flowers should express emotion.
As this year progressed, we became more recognizable an in demand within the Edmonton an Canadian market. I am now a regular guest on CTV Morning Live in Edmonton, and will be appearing on another local network this month. Our work has also been featured on WeddingChicks.com with another feature this coming Monday on StylemePrerty.com. We are also on the platinum list of Wedding Style magazine. Preston, a feature with you would be ideal as we are in the middle of brand relaunch development as well as the addition of a complimentary company to our brand.
