In Search of Great Spaces

Preston Bailey Wedding Event Design Space outdoor receptionDear Readers,

I am so appreciative of your wonderful and helpful responses this week!

As you might know, I love the process of transforming a space. Today, I am looking for recommendations on amazing locations in your area. For me, the most desirable spaces are ones that have the following qualifications:

-Good hang points

-Good loading and unloading areas

-High ceilings

-Accommodating owners.

Please share your thoughts. Again, if you can provide a website, I would be very appreciative.

Blessings,

Preston

The Allan House, located in the heart of downtown Austin. Built in 1883, it is an elegant Victorian mansion with wrap-around verandas and a large outdoor courtyard space, covered in a canopy of century-old oak trees.

Good Evening Preston! I just had another thought!! have you ever considered doing just one season of a television show where you go to different cities and tour their venues, whether they be unique, old, retro, different! That would be awesome!! Hey maybe I need to pitch that to a network!!

Hi Preston! There are many incredible venues in Dallas, but I would have to say I am partial to The Rosewood Crescent Hotel. I may be a tad biased since I had my own wedding there, and I work for Rosewood at The Mansion on Turtle Creek, but it truly is a wonderful location. They have several different rooms for all kinds of occasions, but they’re main ballroom would definitely fit the type of events you tend to do.

That photo of the venue you posted is fantastic. Looking forward to see what people suggest here.

  11. I would have to say The Grand Marquise Ballroom in Garner, North Carolina. It is absolutely beautiful. It has Louie XIV style interior, marble Grand Entry Parlor, marvelous decor of marble columns, ornate trim and coffer ceilings adorned with crystal chandeliers, the Grand Marquise Ballroom can accommodate up to 400 of your favorite guests. Oh, let me not forget the mezzanine balcony. This is a GREAT SPACE and I must say in this area a Wedding Planner’s Dream.
