The Power of Prayer

prayer preston bailey blogDear Readers,

As those closest to me know, I am a firm believer in the power of prayer.  I believe this is what has guided me, a Panamanian with humble roots, someone without a high school diploma, to the place I am today.

For me, prayer has many forms.  It could be as simple as just asking God for something or the subtle act of communicating with a sacred power.  It could be a way of showing gratitude to the universe by lifting our mind to the divine.  I believe that prayer is a way of showing a deep appreciation for the world around us and the opportunity we have to journey through life exploring our own creativity.

Many times, we forget the power of praying in a group. In today’s blog, I would like to humbly as that you join me in a group prayer.

Please feel free to list any intention or prayer. It could be related to your business or family or an intention to implement any changes you would like to make but have been resisting for whatever reason.

I will start first.

Today I pray that all of my readers will take that one step that will take your business to the next level.  You know which one I am talking about.  You have been putting it off for some time.  Well, the time is now.

I pray that all our clients understand that we need to make a living, and that we cannot afford to simply provide our services without a cost as much as we would like to.

Blessings,

Preston

So simple yet so true. And also very humbling to remember that our Creator has deposited so much within us if we’d simply tap into His grace. Today, I pray for wisdom and grace to keep building my business even as I trust that my efforts will be rewarded with clients that truly appreciate the services we offer.

Thank you Preston! The connection to the Devine is our source to inspiration. Everything we create comes from above. I KNOW my prayers are heard and I am forever grateful for the power that fills me. I too pray for all of us in this industry, all across the world as we all experience our challenges and face difficulties with every job we take. I pray that we are all capable of creating new and amazing weddings, but that we also have the strength to get through difficult clients’ weddings, helping them deal with their difficult family dynamics and helping them face their fears.

Perhaps you may engage in an inquiry of the prevalence, dangers and safeguards against narcissism in spiritual practice.

“How do we keep our egos and mental projections from masquerading as wisdom from the Universe?”

I thank God that he put his Will in our heart, about our clients, suppliers, vendors and industry, to give the best of us, to rise a standard of love and kindness to work hard too (too much some times). I pray now to stay connect with his love, to be always humble, to take our business (yours and mine) to the nexte level. I pray too against difficulties in life of our clients (sickness or division).

Thank you Preston and be blessed.

    Dear Preston and Team

Thank you for your beautiful and inspirational blog. I love reading your posts and you have helped me in my business in many ways with your thoughts and suggestions. I would like to especially thank you for today’s blog on the power of prayer. Thank you. Thank you.

Prayer is universal. It takes us back to the source of life and creativity. I practice Ho’oponopono, a Hawaiian form of prayer that is so simple yet incredibly powerful. It is these 4 phrases, “I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.” A petition to the Divine to forgive ourselves and others and to love ourselves and others.

Thank you. I wish you Peace, the Peace that is I am.
    Aloha wau ia oe

Preston, Arising above others have been very inspiring and coming from you is very rewarding. Prayers done in a group reminds one of higher being and that You share pain amd happiness of all among each other and it helps create balance in life and keep the purpose of life alive.

I pray for all to change the things that we can and wish others around us the very best. With that I will pray for Preston and team who have work so hard behind the scene and share their work with all of us.

    Dear Preston,

I am moved and in total admiration of your talent. I truly wish that this reaches you as I would like to share something that I believe you will be touched by should you read this. I have been in the advertising world for the past 15 years, the account side. While I have so much creative energy I never wanted to pursue this avenue as a career path because it was too emotionally connected to a deep place where I could feel free and alive. I was always afraid in school teachers would try to alter, modify, suppress my creativity. So when it came to making a living, I chose to ‘play it safe’ and follow a more traditional path. One that I was good at but not passionate about. I would keep that private world to myself sheltered, and would choose who I would let into it. Then one day I decided to go for it. I connected with the most charming event designer and I think speaking with her she felt my creative fire as she has taken me under her wing. I hope this part of my story in particular reaches you… In a shelf of many books yours by chance was the first one I pulled and read from front to back… But more so, I read your top blog that said ‘who inspires you’. I asked myself that question and my answer was my great grandmother who has passed on. As my mind is on her I scroll down and your blog by chance was on spirituality and the power of prayer. Then I realized, this wasn’t by chance this felt more like a sign… I’m sure you can understand why my eyes filled with tears of joy when the next thing I read was you encouraging me with your words of ‘the time is now’! And I say yes, I’m going to do my utmost to learn, create, dream and follow my fantasies not in the comfort of my own home but in the open, as part of a creative team with the hopes of making a difference, to inspire and to be inspired!

If anyone is still reading… Thank you. Any advice would be incredibly appreciated.

I was thinking the other day of the different celebrity event designers/planners. None of them compared to you. While they are very talented you take the cake. You are different because you are real. While some may try to make you believe in their fantasy world you are the reality of a fantasy.
You have a standard of excellence and an immense amount of talent but then give credit rightly to God. I love that you don’t try to over shine (even though u rightly could) but rather you help us find our own light to shine.
I am encouraged and believe that God can use me as well in the event planning services. On saturday I have my first wedding and I pray that God shows his light through this wedding. I pray each and every single guest is greeted by a spirit of kindness, and left with a spirit full of love. I pray for a standard of excellence. I pray for God’s will to be done in Jesus name.

    Thanks again Preston!

Today I pray that I am smart enough to accept God’s guidance and not to lean on my own understanding. Today I pray that I never forget that God made me stronger than I think I am. Today I pray that I always remember that prayer changes things and he might not always answer when I call but he’s always ON TIME.
Thank you Preston for opening the forum.
